We are located in the heart of Beijing’s historic core- 5 minutes walk to the Forbidden City, the spectacular Tiananmen Square, and the famous Wangfujing shopping district to name a few.

The hostel has carefully preserved the originally traditional Si-He style courtyard house, and is nestled in the designated historic landmark Hu-Tong neighborhood preserved and protected by the Beijing government.

Staying with us is a good start for exploring this ancient city. No matter your heart is with the old imperial court or ordinary people living in the ally ways, you will find your own experience from all walks of life in this fascinating city during your stay. Our interior is carefully designed according to the traditional style of the building along with all modern amenities such as luxury room, twin bed, queen bed, dormitory, air-conditioning, round-the-clock hot water, free wireless internet access, Chinese and western breakfast, bar, reading corner, kiosk, locker, IP phone, laundry facility, luggage storage, travel information.

From airport: Take airport shuttle bus to Xi Dan, then take a cab (RMB 15) to hostel or take a airport express train (RMB 25)get off at Dong Zhi Men subway station and then take a cab to our hostel. Also we have airport pick up service, if you want reserve, please send E-mail for us, told us your flight information.

Beijing Rail Station: Take bus No.10 to Tian’anmen East, walk 15 minutes to hostel or take a cab (RMB 20).

Beijing West Rail Station: Take a cab (RMB30) or bus 52 or 802,get off at the Tian an men east.

Underground: Take line 1, alight at Tian’anmen East, come out from “Exit B”

DIRECTIONS

Sitting on The City Walls (Beijing) Courtyard House

City Walls is very close to the Forbidden City, located in “Jingshanhoujie”.

( 景 山公 园 北 , 景山 后街, 丁字 路口 东侧 路北 , 碾子 胡同 57 号)

Please find the “SINOPEC Gas station “sign in the short street, then only 20 meters east, you will find a big open air recreation garden which many people play PingPong and Chess in the daytime, that is entrance of the alley with sign of the “Nianzi HuTong” in chinese and 'Sitting on the City Walls' in English.Please follow the “City Walls” sign hunged on the wire pole in the alley(Enter in to the alley you will find a small parking then turn right). Turn into the small alley and Walking about 1 minute .

 From the airport,

1)Take shuttle bus Line 3 to the last stop- Beijing Central Railway Station(The

ticket will be 16 RMB/1.6 Euro) Then take a taxi to “Jingshanhoujie”，a bout

4 KM and the cost will be around 12—15 RMB/1.2-1.5 Euro.

2) Take a Taxi to “jingshanhoujie”, about 27 KM and the cost will be around

90—100 RMB/9-10 Euro.

 From the Beijing Central Railway Station

1)Take a taxi to “Jingshanhoujie”，a bout 4 --5KM and the cost will be around 12—15

RMB/1.2-1.5 Euro.(We are sorry to say that if you can not find the Taxi stop in the middle of station square ,that is many illeagal car are trying to charge you 5 times of the nomal price. Please try to find the No.103 bus stop at the left corner of the square and folloe the information of below)

2)Take bus No 103 and get off at “Gugong” stop (Forbidden City),then walk back to the T crossing and take a left turn and go diwn to the end of the street, turn left only 20 meters, then follow the information above.It will takes you about 5--8 minutes by walking.

 From Beijing West Railway Station,

1)Take bus No 823 and get off at “Di’anmendong”, walk to south about 200 meters, That is the “Jingshanhoujie”, then follow the information above.

2) Take a Taxi to “jingshanhoujie”, about 12 KM and the cost will be around

35—40 RMB/3.4--4 Euro.

Our Backpackers is located in the centre of the ancient capital of Yuan dynasty, and that is why our hotel is called Downtown. This area is now the very famous protected area of old Chinese impasses, called HuTong. In NanLuoGu alley, Downtown is near the Forbidden grave and just behind BeiHai Park. You can easily go to Tian`anmen Square, The Summer Palace, The Forbidden City, and The Temple of Haven by bus. The subway station is only 20 minutes by foot, and public facilities such as banks, International post office, and supermarkets are very near.

We have three kinds of double rooms:

1/Double room with window for 190rmb per room per night.

2/Double room without window(skyllight) for 170rmb per room per night.

3/Double room without window(dark) for 150rmb per room per night.

About private 3 bed rooms:

1/private 3 bed room with window for 255RMB/room/night

2/private 3 bed room with skylight(top window) for 225RMB/room/night

But, they are not in the basement, and also, they have private bathroom,shower and air condition inside, as same as other normal rooms with window.

You must pay attention when you book a room,you should know the room price then you will know which kind of room you booked.

Airport pickup service. This is available for those staying with us for 4 consecutive nights or more if you booked a whole private room.Not for scattered beds in dormitory.

We will pick you up from the airport (only Capital International airport) for free for one time, you just need to pay 20RMB for the toll and parking fee(11rmb/hour). Please inform us of your flight number and landing time 2 days before your arrival. Please be aware that if we wait for you more than half hour, you must pay the parking fee.
